So you have spent lots of your company’s money getting prospects to your website, the key now is to get these prospect to spend time on your website and look at your products and services pages. If a prospect goes on to your website and decides to move off the website within seconds of arriving, it is called a bounce visit and you want to try and keep your bounce rate as low as possible. A low bounce rate is advisable as it shows that the visitors that are arriving are have an interest in your site, it is also a good sign as to how effective your marketing is in reaching your targeted audience. If you don’t know your bounce rate, it is worth checking to see if you have Google Analytics on your website.

What is your content like?

How often do you refresh your site content, and check that your information is still correct. Example of this can be making sure you delete any old event that have been and gone.

Is the content easy to read?

Make sure that you don’t have huge amounts of text as this can scare your prospect away. You want them to have a simplified experience when they come onto your website.

Is auto play off?

Let your prospects decide if they want to watch your video, putting it on auto play could put them off and then subsequently leave. The key is to have a good message on the video to make them want to play it.

Do you have graphics?

This can make it easier for prospect to understand everything a lot easier. Using charts, graphs or diagrams are great ways to entice your website visitor, remember the popular saying “A picture says a thousand words.”

How does your competitor’s home page look?

You need to know if your home page is the best in the industry. Check what others are doing and be critical of your own website. Prospect will make a decision on your website within 3 seconds visiting. If they leave your website and look at your competitors, what is going to make them come back to yours afterwards!!
